Think Virtual Book Club, but only better because it’s TV!
TV WATCH CLUB’S SEPTEMBER PICK IS THE PAPER!
Watch at least the first two episodes of The Paper, premiering on Peacock September 4th, then join us on Tuesday, Sept. 9th at 6:00 pm CT for TV Watch Club!
The fictional camera crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin are striking set and moving from Scranton to Toledo. The stars of their new mockumentary are staffers of a historic Midwestern newspaper, the Toledo Truth-Teller, and the publisher trying to bring it back to life with volunteer reporters.
The Paper premieres on Peacock with four episodes on September 4, followed by two new episodes every Thursday through September 25.
Created, written and executive produced by Greg Daniels (The Office) and Michael Koman (Nathan for You), and Universal Television, with executive producers Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman, and Banijay Americas (formerly Reveille), The Paper is a true ensemble starring Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key, and Oscar Nuñez.
What to expect:
We’ll start with an icebreaker that relates to the episode, then we’ll have a group discussion led by an ATX TV Staff Member followed by any questions or discussion points you thought of that we may have missed. Finally, we’ll end with anyone who wants to share what they are currently watching and loving.
Since this is one of our community events, we’d love for you to attend with your camera turned on, but no one will be forced to contribute unless you want. This will be a free flowing conversation, but we will also utilize Zoom’s hand raising and chat functions as needed to make sure everyone who wants to speak has a chance!
